Vertiv™ Liebert® EFC low-GWP is the next generation of indirect evaporative cooling.
Vertiv has announced the launch of a new model of indirect evaporative cooling - Vertiv™ Liebert® EFC low-GWP.
Vertiv™ Liebert® EFC with low-GWP refrigerant is an indirect evaporative cooling system with a capacity of 100 to 450 kW for cooling data center equipment. It combines indirect air-to-air and evaporative cooling capabilities in a single unit.
Key benefits:
- A new approach to meet sustainability goals: a new generation heat exchanger with reduced pressure drop ensures lower energy consumption. The heat exchanger is made of a polymeric material that combines high strength and extreme corrosion resistance and optimizes water efficiency.
- Dual mode flexibility: a fast mode switching function that allows the unit to adapt its operation based on specific conditions, switching between a humid priority mode and a direct expansion (DX) priority mode, in order to maximize efficiency and reduce water consumption.
- Cooling with the future in mind: To reduce energy consumption and CO 2 e emissions, the Vertiv™ Liebert® EFC low-GWP is equipped with inverter compressors with refrigerant (R-454B).
- Updated control system: The updated Vertiv™ Liebert® iCOM™ controllers smoothly manage automatic transitions between the most appropriate operating modes, reducing water consumption. Liebert® iCOM™ Control provides high-level control of the units to work together as a single system, thus optimizing room temperature and airflow.
- Innovative design: minimizing electrical infrastructure requirements through free cooling and patented system-level control functions
- Easy installation: providing flexibility and adaptation to a variety of building structures.
Vertiv™ Liebert® EFC is equipped with the most advanced industry technologies including: a new composite heat exchanger, inverter technology with low refrigerant (R-454B), multi-stage evaporation system, new control logic. As a result, the new indirect evaporative free cooling provides even greater efficiency and compliance with technical standards around the world.
