ZVK d.center Fiber Ducting Solution (FDS)

ZVK d.center Fiber Ducting Solution (FDS) - Comprehensive Engineering Solutions for Data Centers (DC)

The d.center FDS cable tray system is a fully enclosed modular routing system designed for laying, routing, and protecting fiber-optic connections.

FDS technical solutions ensure convenient and safe laying of patch cords and optical trunk cables in data centers (DC), where high installation density, bend radius control, and reliable protection of the cable infrastructure are especially important.

The system provides convenient access to cables at all stages from initial laying to technical maintenance. The forming elements and turning modules are designed to maintain a minimum bend radius (≥ 30 mm), which prevents breaks, compression, and stretching of the fiber. The system easily integrates into existing racks or suspended structures, ensuring architectural flexibility and the possibility of scaling DC infrastructure.

Materials and Compliance with Standards

● Material of channels and covers: PC+ABS-FR
● Material of connecting elements and their covers: PC+ABS-FR
● Halogen content: halogen-free, complies with IEC 61249-2-21
● Fire resistance class: UL 94V-0 - one of the highest fire resistance classes for plastics according to the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standard RoHS
● Directive compliance: (EU) 2015/863 / 2011/65/EU
● PVC-free: all system components do not contain polyvinyl chloride

Engineering plastics for high-tech applications typically include thermoplastics such as ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene), known for its strength and shape stability, and PC (polycarbonate), which is a heat-resistant and impact-resistant engineering plastic. Their strategic combination creates PC+ABS - a composite thermoplastic that integrates the high strength of polycarbonate with the processability of ABS, making this material ideally suited for electronics casings and electrical connectors. For critical applications, these materials may additionally be marked FR (Flame Retardant), which indicates the presence of flame retardants that increase fire resistance and slow down the combustion process.

Technical Specifications

● System of connections and fastenings integrated into the component
● Tool-free installation of all elements and covers
● Possibility of installation without stopping the operating equipment
● Hollow cellular structure of the trays - high strength and geometric stability with minimal weight
● Wide choice of mounting solutions for various installation conditions

Advantages of Tool-Free Installation

● Installation without drilling and punching - no need to create additional technological holes in FDS components during assembly
● No tools used - installation is performed manually, only channel cutting is required
● No additional connectors - all accessories are fixed using built-in latches
● Time and labor cost savings - quick installation and the possibility of multiple assembly/disassembly
● Connection reliability - a strong, safe, and reusable fixation system

Thanks to such solutions, the Alpha Grissin company creates next-generation infrastructures - reliable, scalable, and certified in accordance with international standards. This allows our customers to receive a complete "turnkey" solution for their data center - from a structured cabling system to energy and cooling modules.

AI load in data centers: new aspects of uninterruptible power supply system development

The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms significantly changes the energy consumption profile in data centers. Unlike traditional computing processes, AI loads are characterized by high amplitude transients (instantaneous jumps in electrical current parameters): energy consumption can vary from 10% to 130% in milliseconds. Such impulse loads pose risks to the frequency stability and thermal state of power electronics.
