The company's history spans more than 150 years. In 1864, SUHNER & Co. AG was founded in Herisau, Switzerland. The company's business area: production of cables and cable insulation, plastic extrusion.
In 1882, the R+E. HUBER Joint Stock Company was founded in Pfeffikon, Switzerland. Business area: production of telegraph wire and cable, with an additional name: "factory of rubber and gutta-percha products".
In April 1969, the two companies merged to form HUBER+SUHNER AG. With the motto "Excellence in Connectivity Solutions", the company focuses on the core technologies of high-frequency communications, fibre optics and cable and wire products.
