Cooling System
All primary elements of the climate infrastructure are reserved at minimum according to the N+1 scheme
About Liebert HPC-S
At the facility, Liebert HPC-S chillers with free cooling function are used. Furthermore, the refrigeration units have been equipped with removable adiabatic cooling systems, water treatment modules, and special boxes for hot air exhaust (which also prevent mixing with supply air).
Inside the data center, both water-based and air-based (refrigerant) air conditioners are employed. The latter are more efficient during warmer seasons when free cooling is not operating. The combination of these two types of climate systems helps further reduce the average annual PUE. Approximately fifty Liebert CRV row-based air conditioners and Liebert HPM cabinet-based units have already been installed on site.
The section for air-cooled air conditioners is represented by Liebert PDX units. Altogether, this setup allows for the implementation of virtually any heat dissipation scheme from client equipment: whether using raised or non-raised floors, with cold and hot aisle isolation, with hot air exhaust from cabinets using special boxes, and so on. All rational configurations and combinations are feasible.
Uninterrupted power supply
To ensure uninterrupted power supply, there is a multi-level implementation.
Firstly, there are multiple independent power feeds from different substations. Secondly, the facility has nine (currently) Liebert diesel generators, each with a capacity of 160 kW.
An additional element of passive safety is the absence of water fan coils in areas with generators, with cooling instead provided through static pressure chambers. This setup eliminates any risks of water leaks affecting electrical equipment. Non-flammable FIAMM batteries are also used for additional protection. Powerful redundant diesel generators further enhance protection against failures.
